Green's Remodeled Properties

    July 8th 07. This trip was to Holly Cove R.V. Park in North Carolina. We were going river rafting and to the Sheffield Ruby mine. Steve & Lorine and Steve's sister and her husband Wes and daughter Dana took their campers and away we went. We got there late in the afternoon so we cooked supper and sat around the campfire until bed time. The next morning we & Steve & Lorine met Mark Haynes and family at tne Carolina outfitters for the rafting ride down the Nantahala river. That was very exciting. It was 3 hrs. of battling the rapids. Then we went to a Bar-B-Q place for supper. The Haynes family left for home. The next day the rest of us went to the Ruby mine. You can see from the pics how that works. You bought buckets of dirt and washed through it to find rubies. We found a few small ones except for Steve who got one large enough for the record book. Ha. Back to the camp ground for more food and smores. The next day we rode the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was rainy so a good day to Ride. It was beautiful sceinery. We left for home the next day. We had another great trip.
